Corona soft drinks

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

"Every bubble's passed its FIZZical!" yelped the Ernie Bilko-voiced Head Bubble in the cartoon ads for this knobbly-bottled orangeade. Very popular in the '70s. The idea of devouring an entire army of bubbles and then belching out their remains appealed to the juvenile mind.

I was walking with my dog today in a place named Earlswood Lakes, what did my dog find(he is a retriever and always finds old bottles), yes, he found an old Tango bottle from i would say the 1960-70's, Corona and hence i started looking around and came upon this site, lid was intact but a little damaged, bottle is immaculate. It gave me memories of my childhood as we used to have the corona pop man deliver to us also, the bottle was so distinctive that it instantly made me remember what had been at the back of my mind. It's a shame that i cant add an image, the label was not there though and the lid has 2 small rust patches where its gone through, still had the original seal in the top of the lid.

Clarade! Thank you! I've been writing down then computerising childhood memories of the 1950s; Mr Hargreaves, our local 'Corona' man, delivered our family's 'Corona' drinks on Fridays. My mum mildly forbade 'Clarade' (I simply couldn't remember that name) as she deemed it too sickly but, if I collected the bottles from Mr H, I would sometimes present her with a fait accompli. We usually bought cydapple, orange or lemonade. I teased one of my sister's French pen pals by vigorously shaking the bottle and persuading her to release the 'Hiram'(?) bottle stopper. She got a faceful of fizz! Happy days!
