A Boy Called David was the start of a series of documentaries by Desmond Wilcox telling the story of a baby boy left in the jungle to die because he was born with a disease that ate away his face. Mr Wilcox followed the boy through 28 years of his life, creating documentaries of each step in the journey of reconstructing his face and the final outcome of his acceptance by his native villagers.
