Can anyone help me with this - there was a documentary aired on UK terrestrial TV (maybe BBC2 or possibly Channel 4) about a homeless alcoholic woman who had lived on the streets of London for years. She had managed to get off the streets after a long struggle, recovered from alcohol abuse and had subsequently gained formal qualifications and now was a respected academic in the field of social studies etc. The documentary showed her visiting all her old haunts in London and describing the life of the homeless alcoholics, plus low-key filming of the same group she used to hang out with, also showing the public toilets where she slept for many years. I think it was aired in approximately 2000, maybe a year or two either side. Can anyone help me with more info about this, maybe the name of the documentary and especially the woman's name? Thanks!
