Andy Pandy - a blue and white striped suit and little hat, and then of course his friends Loopy Lou and Teddy. As a small child I was never sure of this marionette but watched because I loved little Ted and firmly believed for many years that my Teddies came to life when I was not looking! And maybe they did.

    Andy Pandy was a boy. I hated his guts with his silly plastic face and stupid clothes. I adored Teddy. Of all the Watch with Mother programmes, Andy and his stupid face was the one I hated. I have met others who feel the same way. Teddy was a great guy though.

    can you still sing the end song? "Time to go home, time to go home, Andy and teddy are waving goodbye, time to go home, time to go home, Andy is waving goodbye, Goodbye."

    When I was a child, Andy Pandy was a great favourite, along with Spotty Dog of "The Woodentops". I quite clearly remember "marching, marching, marching up and down" along with Andy and his pals, teddy and Looby Loo. When I saw my 2-year old nephew watching the programme more recently, I couldn't believe just how much it had changed, I must be getting old.

    I absolutely loved Andy Pandy when I was a child. I couldn't wait until watch with mother came on. I was convinced at the time that Andy Pandy was a girl. Not quite sure why because he wore blue and white. Looby Lou was a charactor though as she didn't talk and was always hiding from Andy and Teddy. Teddy was so cute he used to jump up and down most of the time. I can always remember Andy Pandys coming to play laa laa laa laa laa laaaaaa Andy Pandys here to stay laa la la la laaaaa.
