Animal Kwackers were a group of animals that sang cool songs and told childrens stories. The four band members were Rory the lion, Twang the tiger, Bongo the dog and Boots the monkey.
I remember going to see an Animal Kwackers stage show once. A bit like a Rolling Stones gig but for kids.

I was about 5 or 6 when this was on the TV, never mind Dr Who's darleks- it was Animal Kwackers that had me hiding behind the sofa, Rory and Boots scared the life out of me and I've only just seen an image of them over 25 years on and they still look freaky!!

Boots was the tiger with the eye-patch,all the guys came from london I was engaged to boots aka john.we used to have great laughs at yorkshire tv studios when they made the programme,and travelled all over england and scotland doing the shows on stage....good memories.........

I remember this too. The growling way they introduced the story...."Rory Rory tell us a story" always had me cowering into my spaghetti hoops - it was on at lunchtime when I was home from school. Rory was definitely the one that freaked me out the most, I've just seen a picture and he still scares me.

i remeber being freaked out watching it. The fact that they had huge oversized heads and skinny latex legs!! also remember one of them had a scary eye-patch. Very glam!
