Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Are You Afraid of the Dark? was a TV series from 1992 about a group of kids who sat round a fire telling each other spooky stories! They called themselves the Midnight Society and they told some quite scary stories but nothing too frightening or gory.

In all there were 52 half hour episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and the series picked up 6 awards and 9 award nominations in total.

I seem to remember an episode about a toy clown that kept moving by itself when the owner wasn't looking. I remember finding it quite creepy as a child!

I have the complete series on DVD and love watching it with my kids and boyfriend. "The Tale of the Silver Sight," which is the TV movie, is included in the 6th season.

i used to love watching it after school too! on ITV and on saturday mornings too. then as i got older my younger sister used to watch it, i think it used to be on at 6pm on nickelodeon. haha

I remember coming home from school and running to the tv and waiting for it to come on. Gotta love that sand!! i wish it was still on!

i remember when they did the TV movie, the tale of the silver sight. I wish that would come on DVD. I liked it because not only was it telling a spooky story, but the midnight society were the characters.

man i remeber i was like 6, watching repeats, and that show would scare the life out of me, i'm still creeped out be doll houses . . .
