One of the UK's most successful reggae bands who at one time were backing artists for Bob Marley.

Aswad reached number one with the single "Don't Turn Around" and had other chart-topping hits such as "Give a Little Love" and "On and On".

The name Aswad is Arabic for "Black".

    Damn shame they had to tone down their sound in order to be commercially successful as their first couple of albums were good.
