My mum had an Allegro for a bit. I remember it was an appalling shade of orange and had a square steering wheel. Just one of the many reasons why BL went down the pan.

My Dad bought a brand new Austin Allegro 1300 in that unforgettable bright orange shade. I thought it was brilliant at the time. He often forgot where he left the car, and this one was easy to spot, until everyone else bought one.

yes my parents bought a second hand alegro. I felt embarrased to get in the burnt orange coloured car, with the most aufull colour of dark tan plastic leather look seats. I mean the whole shape of the car looked like a turtles shell. Another famous colour for it was tutti fruti purple.

My mum used to have one when I was about 2 and it was bright yellow with brown colour seats yuk!
