In Baby Boom, Diane Keaton stars as the ultra professional career woman who ends up as the sole guardian of a distant relative's baby. Initially she assumes she will be able to juggle both baby and job - she's super efficient after all - but gradually she realizes that she cares about the baby and goes off to Vermont where she eventually starts her own baby food brand. There are so many light humorous touches which parents of young children will identify with - and the humour is so well handled that even those without children will be in stitches. The film also gently encourages us to think about whether corporate success brings real happiness.
