A purple dinosaur cuddly toy based on the popular kids TV character. Barney the dinosaur is a purple Tyrannosaurus Rex yet despite his being one of the most ferocious animals ever to walk the earth Barney has been made in to a cuddly and lovable character incapable of hurting anyone.

The scaly reptilian skin of his ancestors has been replaced with soft purple polyester, the powerful claws replaced with gentle paws and the razor sharp teeth have been filed down to look like a set of dentures.

There were a few other toys available in the Barney and Friends plush toy series including BJ and Baby Bop. There's also a Barney and Friends Beanie toy collection.

    I was friggin OBSSESSED with barney until I was eight. I had nearly all the barney stuffies possible, and I still have 95% of his VHS tapes, lol White with pink writing.

    I used to have a stuffed barney that sang! They were ones that you had to pkug int othe internet to download stuff for your Barney, and I didn't have the internet back then so it just sang a few songs. I think you could even program it to say your name.

    BARNEY!! Oh i used 2 love that big purple dinosaur. i used to watch his show, but i never got the toys. Mabye coz i knew that one day i was gonna grow outta them. They sure were good though!

    When I was in highschool, I had to suffer by watching those Barney commercials! And my feelings towards the purple dinosaur was shared among many of my peers. I've promised myself that if I ever become a Mom, I will never buy Barney items for my kids!

    Super dee duper..a great big purple dinosaur with its own tv show for little kiddies,it had a little song,which went something like,i love you,you love me,we're a happy family,with a great big hug,and a kiss from me too you,won't you say you love me too..
