Batwing jumpers

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

A "triangular" shaped jumper where the sleeves were an extension of the body of the jumper. The more material used in the sleeves - the cooler the jumper.

Half black and half white batwing jumper made out of that very fine looped material. Mine was full of pulls from my cats claws and looked scruffy as hell after one wear.

I knit my own black batwing jumper once - it cost a fortune in wool, and by the time I got it knit I think I wore it twice before it wasn't cool anymore!

Word of warning re: batwings. My mum's dental nurse uniform had batwings in the 80s. Lovely and comfy but when a child vomited on her after an aneasthetic the batwings were just a funnel to her armpit!

Batwing jumpers, shirts and coats, I had some of each. A red jumper was the favourite, it was actually a batwing sweatshirt. I think they're all back in fashion again now!
