Biba fashion epitomised an era 60s/70s and the clothes were the look most teenagers aspired to. I remember being too young to buy anything but sitting in a window seat surrounded by feathers and mirrors and wonderful and exotic clothes while my cousin spent her clothing allowance there. Kensington high street was also the home to a bazaar of indian inspired ethnic creations with an atmosphere heady with joss sticks selling cheesecloth dresses and ripped jeans, floppy hats and a cafe in an old pullman train was a later edition. The other remnants of this period were the rainbow rooms above Derry and Toms and Trader vicks.
