Robbie Box was a heavy gambler and had a long-suffering girlfriend Jan. She eventually emigrated with her daughter to Australia but returned when Robbie won a club at cards which he in turn lost again gambling.

The first series of 'Big Deal' (1984)is now out on DVD, and it's classic '80s stuff. The street scenes are full of 70s & 80s cars and shop logos of the era. Not forgetting of course that classic Booby G(ubby) theme song.

Yeah and he had curly hair and the actor also narated Mr Benn,. He is in eastenders now chatting up Pauline Fowler, the poor man!
