Birds Eye Crispy Cod Fries

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

When I was a little girl my mum would buy Bird's Eye Crispy Cod Fries every Friday. Bird's Eye Crispy Cod Fries were round pieces of cod covered in a crispy batter, they were so scrummy!

Loved them too - there was a nice squicdy bit between the fish and the batter. Also loved the Brunchies - that was my main meal as a student with only a ring and grill to work with

Ah yes, I loved crispy cod fries as a child, too. Does anyone remember 'cheesies'? Triangles of mashed potato and cheese in breadcrumbs. They were popular with my children when they were small.

i cannot understand why you discontinued crispy cod fries since they were loved by adults and children alike. please reintroduce them to your range. grumpy123

Obviously Birdseye's Crispy Cod Fries were very popular, I absolutely loved them so, as noone else seems to be asking the question - why, Oh why did Birdseye discontinue them? My suggestion to the "suits" at Birdseye is: look at what your customers want and bring back Crispy Cod Fries, and use the same recipe as you used then. Romeo.

Yes, we used to love crispy cod fries when we were young, I think it was the batter that tasted so nice - the soft inside bit between the moist fish and the crispy outside - Yum! I also remember something called 'Omelette Mate' (or something like that) it came in a tin the same size as 'Toast Toppers' and you added it to your beaten eggs and it turned it into a Spanish omelette - there may have been other flavours too. really quick and easy - tasty too. It would be good to see these back on the shelves

We used to have Crispy cod fries as a Sunday Morning treat. My mum had to buy two packets for our family, and we would have them with baked beans, egg and cucumber. Sounds yukky I know but it's a bit of a family tradition.
