Cheggers Plays Pop was the kids TV quizshow fronted by everyone's favourite presenter Keith Chegwin. Two teams of children dressed in red or yellow outfits would battle it out with music and trivia questions and I seem to remember they would also have to navigate inflatable obstacle courses for some reason.

Guests on Cheggers Plays Pop included the wonderfully entertaining Bad Manners.

    I'd love to see Brookvale on Cheggers from 1980, episode 4 possibly. My brother was on that show but I haven't seen it since it went out. The name Ray Uttley rings a bell!

    Can anyone help. Trying to find a copy of Cheggers Plays Pop 1983, episode 6.5.(shown on 18.05.1983) The show had on pop band Big Country. Trying to get hold of this episode for a friend who was on it from her school (Withins High School, Bolton, Lancs). Her family have never seen the episode and would love to see it. I am trying to get this copy for her 40th birthday as a surprise gift. Can you please help in anyway? Been in touch with BBC sadly they don't have a copy.     I've been trying to get hold of a copy of Cheggers April 1980 for the last 4 years... I got the form from the BBC and it was something like £150 for a copy!     Thanks very much for ALL the nice comments about Cheggers Plays Pop - It was a long time ago but such great fun to present and very fond memories. For a bit of fun - I've put a few clips from the show on myspace/cheggersbingo - for those who don't remember it - Enjoy !!     hiya , i was on cheggers plays pop in 1981 we won 1st time so went on again and won and i was the one who went up for the trophy i went to winton high school in eccles .. hot chocolate were on and also dollar and when i held up thr trophy the man out of dollar picked me up and i got a kiss off him .oh and the camera zoomed in just as i was picking my nose ...how embarrasing

    i was on cheggers plays pop with my school. gary davies was our team captaind and limahl sang never ending story.i was on the hot box and got my question right,watched it every week before and after that but my mum decided to show my appearance at my wedding so its haunted me ever since now lol
