Anyone remember chocolate sponge and mint custard? It sounds grim but it was definitely one of my favourite puddings at school in the 70s!

    I remember having an apple sponge cake.Can't remember who made it or what it was called.You'd put the ingredients in a bowl,pour cold water on top and put it in the oven to cook.The sponge would rise and the apple stayed at the bottom.Delicious. This was in late 70's/early 80's.
