Construx

Everyone in my family spent loads of time building things with Construx, and even now it's still one of the best construction sets around. Construx came with many different sizes of girders, there were rods, wheels, hinges, ropes, pulleys and cute little men to operate whatever it was you built.

The instruction sheet had all sorts of neat ideas for things to build - the T. Rex with pulley-operated moveable jaw was a favourite!

Construx was great. I built a TARDIS set out of it for my Doctor Who action figures, with the addition of a bit of cardboard and some round white labels. Actually, the Dapol Doctor Who figures aren't on here. Will write something a.s.a.p.

My brother had a set of these. They were all inside a big orange suit case thing. I always wanted to play with them cause I thought they were so cool!

I remember seeing them on the commercials, and showing that they glowed in the dark (I was really into that stuff) I kind of wanted a set.
