Tony Orlando & Dawn released the hit single in November 1970 "Knock Three Times" and within a month had sold its first million. The record reached number one in January 1971 and went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide.
Another big hit from Dawn was "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree", this was released in 1973.
