My friend and I were completely obsessed with Europe! They were a big hair rock band, sort of along the same lines as Bon Jovi. Europe most notably sang "The Final Countdown" which was a song about the Challenger space shuttle disaster and also "Carrie".
We had their posters plastered all over our rooms! I remember singing their songs and I still hear "The Final Countdown" at the opening of the Detroit Pistons basketball games!
