American group "The Floaters" formed the group in 1976
"Float On" was released in 1977 and topped the UK Single Chart for one week. On an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Jewel and Jazzy Jeff got married and this song was playing when they were walking down the aisle (In the Banks' home).
