Gordon Rollings was a British actor who was born in Yorkshire. He presented 'Play School' along side Virginia Stride during the 1960's when it was in black and white. He also appeared a a number of British films but had two non speaking parts in Superman 2 and Superman 3. He is probably best remembered for the John Smith bitter advert in the 1980's where his long suffering wife was played by Jane Freeman who was in Last of the Summer wine. He died in 1985, he was 59.
