The Harlem Shuffle is a dance that has taken various forms through the years. One is as a line dance, consisting of around 25 steps. Another form is a simple two-step followed by a shoulder-brushing motion with the back of the opposite hand. The name itself stems from the links this dance had with the New York area of Harlem during the Harlem renaissance, favoured by African-Americans.
