Hickory House

Hickory House was just a normal house, where everything was alive, stimulated children's imaginations and was educational and fun.

Humphrey Cushion and Dust Mop starred alongside human presenters such as Amanda Barrie (Alma in Coronation Street), Alan Rothwell and Louise Hall-Taylor.

Hickory House was first aired in 1973 and ran for a hundred episodes.

I loved this programme!

Ha ha! At last!! I was starting to think that I'd dreamt it! Why does no-one else you meet ever remember it?? Google's great but Utube is even better, well done to 'skyclearbrook' for finding it on there. Does anyone remember them turning a mirror round to tell a story, or was that another program??
