Hooch Alcoholic Lemonade was a slightly bitter tasting lemonade and vodka alcopop. I think this was the first alcopop to land on British soil (certainly the first alcopop I remember getting drunk on .... lol). It was quite nice if memory serves correctly however due to it being 'lemonade' many of those people in charge decided it was being aimed at children, and I think it was either banned or just wasn't sold and so disappeared after that. So far as I am aware it is still available in the USA just not here.

    OMG, I LOVED Hooch. PPPPLLLLLEEEAAAASSSSEEE bring it back!!!!! That and a blastaway (diamond white mixed with castaway) yummy!!!

    hooch lemonade was my first ever drink of choice. beer still tasted horrible to me and liquor didnt appeal to me at the time, i guess. plus it was pretty cheap and when youre in high school you dont really have a lot of money.

    god this is bringin back the memories - oh 2 b 14 again lol! i loved the blackcurrant and the apple, but wood also drink the lemon. Can u still get hooch anywhere? It'b b gr8 2 get sum 4 me n ma pals 2 relive our youth.

    Smirnoff Ice is no "equivalent", as it was one of a range of Vodka-based mixed drinks, as opposed to the alcoholic fruit drinks like Hooch and Two Dogs, which weren't. On the subject of Smirnoff drinks, I was rather sad when they discontinued Smirnoff Mule, which was my favourite drink to come out during the alcopop craze. It had a weird, almost "woody" flavour (I really can't think how else I could describe it), and like no other drink I've ever tasted. Maybe it was supposed to taste like a Moscow Mule cocktail, which I've never tried, so that might be the closest I will get!

    I remember first getting drunk drunk on Hooch with my best friend when we was only 13!My favourite flava was lemon (or the apple) and hers was orange!Was it the fact we was only 13 that they stopped selling it?!?! Apparently Smirnoff Ice is the equivilant... but I don't think it comes anywhere near!

    Loved Hooch. Best drink ever. Although I was always torn between it and it's main rival 'Two Dogs' which was basically the same drink. Also loved the other flavours, blackcurrant was my favourite.

    whatever happened to hooch? the alcoholic lemonade that sent all young children into the world of alcohol. the beginning for a world of alcopops, but now nowhere to be seen. Was it banned?
