Hunny Pudding

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Hunny Pudding was just like Angel Delight but you could really taste the honey. I think it came out in the 1970's. It didn't stay long, but I loved it! It came in two yummy flavours - raspberry and chocolate - in tins.

It was NOTHING like Angel Delight, which was (is) a powder you reconstitute into an airy mousse. Hunny Pudding was a runny, creamy pudding.

Im trying to think of that fruity sponge pudding where you put all the ingredients from the packet into the pyrex dish at once and the sponge magically separated from the fruity sauce which was underneath! Would be really pleased if anyone could remember this because its driving me nuts trying to think what it was called!

We collected tokens from the hunny pudding packets and got a plastic money box shaped like winnie the pooh holding a tub marked "hunny". I think my brother still has it.

I had that plastic Winnie the Pooh money box. I think it would have been around 1976. I knew it didn’t come from Angels Delight, but my mistake was I assumed it came from Instant Whip. I loved that money box, so maybe you could please ask your brother to take a photo of his please, & if he would be prepared to sell it, then please let me know. Best wishes

I remember lots of these 'foods' including hunny pudding and that fruity stuff in a tin which I believe was called 'Sweetheart' and I think Bob Monkhouse advertised it! We used to get the strawberry one, I shudder to think what was actually in it ...

I remember Hunny Pudding but it was a powder that came in a packet. You mixed with milk, just like Angel Delight. There was a picture of the Disneyfied Pooh on the box. Loved it. I also remember something which might have been called 'Butterfly Pudding' which I don't think ever made it to the shops. The tins had a wrapper with tiny butterflies made out of the letter B (I think!). My family seemed to get supplies of it on some sort of trial basis - a man came to deliver it every so often. It was either apricot or raspberry flavour and was a thick, milky concoction with lumps of fruit in it. I think you were supposed to dilute it with more milk but I liked it straight out of the tin. Never saw it anywhere else. We must have been eating it in the late 60s early 70s. Happy pudding days!

Yes, that’s exactly how I remember it, hence always linking it with Angel Delight
