Kid Sister

Kid Sister was a great doll - she came with bib overalls and was supposed to be like your little sister. She had a pretty realistic face and hair, that you could style yourself and she was available as a blonde, brunette etc.

There was a version of Kid Sister for boys as well called My Buddy.

With an appearance not too dissimilar to a Cabbage Patch Doll, Kid Sister was originally produced by Hasbro in 1985 and measured around 20-inches tall, so she was pretty large. In 1990 the toy was taken over by Playskool and her face and clothes changed slightly.

I was kind of a loser at the beginning of Jr. High. I would always chase the girls, but never really got much attention from them. For that reason, Kid Sister became a vital part of my early adolescent years. I actually remember practicing kissing on my Kid Sister doll, since I wasn't too experienced with the real thing. To this day, my wife and I both owe alot of gratitude to Kid Sister. Thank you, Kid Sister, for making me the ladies' man that I am today! We have shared so many great times together.

I remember I had one of those dolls and since I was the youngest I would always pretend that, that doll was like my little sister. We eventually gave it away because it was worn, but I won't ever forget that doll.

One of my younger sisters had one of those dolls. She kinda creeped me out and we always joked around saying that Kid Sister was Chucky's sister!
