Killing Joke

I can remember seeing these chaps on the tube in the mid eighties when they were enjoying some chart success with 'Nightime', after an uncomfortable interview with Paula Yates they produced a blistering live set, I've never seen anything as intense as this before.

They were a band of weirdly named individuals, Big Paul played his tribal drums like an octopus, ultra cool guitarist Geordie sounded like a whole orchestra, singer Jaz was all startled movements and gestures with a stare to stop a rhino and late, great bassist Raven holding them all altogether.

The band are about to release their 13th studio album and have never seen anyone to rival their live shows (and I've been around a bit!) worth checking out...
