'The Manics' were inspired by 'The Clash' and politics. Their music has always been heavy on lyrical referencing and one band member suffered from depression for many years, it was believed that Richey Edwards later went on to commit suicide in 1995. Despite this set back, the band proved their staying power and have continued to release successful albums to date.
