A romantic comedy from 1987 starring Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo's Fire / Pretty in Pink) and Estelle Getty (The Golden Girls).

Jonathan Switcher is an artist who makes a beautiful mannequin that ends up in a department store window. Switcher happens to save the life of the store owner and is rewarded by being given a job in the store as a stock boy.

Switcher falls in love with his lovely mannequin which later comes to life as Emmy, an ancient Egyptian from 2514BC!

The pair redesign the window display in the store which becomes the most eye-catching display in town (much to the annoyance of the shop's competitors).

    I remember being completely smitten with Kim Cattrall at the time, I watched the film again recently and had forgotten how bad the fashions were ! It was followed by a sequel "mannequin on the move" which featured Kristy swanson (the original buffy the vampire slayer) as the mannequin.

    Main song from film was Starship's 'Nothings gonna stop us now' - video had scenes from teh film in it!! SUCH a good film.
