Michael Bentine's Potty Time

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Michael Bentine's Potty Time was a mad programme from 1973 aimed at the entire family. Michael Bentine would talk to these tiny figures and they quite often had funny accents (some I think were Scottish). They were like tiny two-inch viking warriors in little armies. I can't quite remember what the point of it was but my dad loved it!

Werent the "little people" invisible, you just saw their foot prints! The best episode I recall was when he did a volcano and the lava was jam/treacle!

Brilliantly, madcap, Michael Bentine's Potty Time always made me laugh. I, especially, remember the 'model scenes' (for want of a better description), a bit like the old 'flea circuses'. Mostly re-enactments of battles, tiny, little, invisible people would shout with equally tiny voices and tramp across the scenery, leaving footprints and blowing up miniature bushes etc. Yes, I can remember the larger characters, one of them being Scottish. Silly but good fun.
