Motor Mouse and Auto Cat

Thank God this is here, I thought I was going mad, I remember this from when I was young (30+ years ago), but no-one else does. The main story was a cat and a mouse living in a garage, the cat making more and more cars to catch the mouse, and the mouse making cars to evade the cat. Great fun, but little known it seems, most people look at me as if I'm insane when I talk about it.

Do You Remember Motor Mouse and Auto Cat?

I remember it well- it was on in the VERY early '70s, and not shown or repeated very much. Auto Cat was a drag-racing fanatic who looked like a feline version of Meat Loaf- he worked as chief mouser at the 'Spin Your Wheels' Garage, devoting much of his time to trying to ensnare his nemesis Motor Mouse, who rode a miniature chopper bike. The rest of the garage staff hardly ever appeared in the cartoon, leaving the duelling duo to take centre stage. I had a Motor Mouse & Auto Cat jigsaw when I was about 4, though I don't think I ever put it together- I just liked the picture on the box lid!!
