Mr. Gameshow

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

"Dig a hole and crawl in Dad!" That's about all me and my family remember about Mr. Gameshow, but we had a great time playing. Mr. Gameshow was full of amusing anecdotes.

I bought mine at a Kay Bee toy store when i was about 11. My parents never would buy me one when they came out, too expensive. This store had one that for some reason never sold and was dusty and hidden in the back of the store. It cost 20 dollars I think. It was one of my favorite toys ever. I was feeling nostaligc, did a google search, and found this page.

Heh! I used to assemble these while I was making my way through college. Never had a chance to try one, always wondered if they worked like advertised. They weren't in high production... I don't remember more that a couple of thousand coming through our line. The hot toy that year from Galoob was the "Dozy Doll". Unfortunately most of us were laid off following the stock market crash of '87. That being the case, these toys are probably pretty rare.
