This was an ITV kids' drama circa 1983/84 and focused on a group of working class kids who were trying to establish a junior supporter's club for their local football team, but faced the adversity and snobbery of club committee members. Their champion and mentor was in the form of Scotsman "Mac" who always seemed to have an axe to grind in managing the team. It proved to be quite popular particularly with the character of Boxer who developed a large female following! It ran for several series.

    Wasn't there an episode where they adopted a dog as their mascot??

    I remember Mandy Mealing (Holby) appearing in Murphy's Mob, yet she doesn't get credited. Even her profile on IMDB doesn't mention the series; any ideas why? I used to know Mandy when we were kids/teenagers, and she told me she had filmed it; then I watched her in it.
