This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Nutty bar was my absolute fave. It was in a clear brown wrapper with orange writing and the bar itself was a sickly log of creamy fudgey caramel covered in peanuts that were sometimes stale.

There was extra fun to be had by eating each nut off then shaping the fudge with your unwashed hands before eating it and feeling truly sick.

    Yip, loved these, great description. I love nuts and I love fudge so what's not to like? There should be more bars without cholocate. Inside out bars I called those.

    i use to love nutty bars, (not to mix them up with the chocolate covered ones) these were peanuts on the outside chewy caramel on the inside, and also cresta it's frothy man drink

    Nutty bar was my dear dads favourite, my husband has never heard of them, maybe they didn't get as far as Cornwall? (Delciously sweet as I remember them) Bring them back!!!

    yes nutty bar! I thought I was going mad when other people my age kept saying it didn't exist lol. I can't find image of it anywhere

    The Nutty Bar was my husband's favourite sweet in the 70s - I hated it!!! NO chocolate!!!!

    Yes the fizzy drink was frothy man it was fresca and it came in strawberry and blackcurrant and lemonade and orangeade. Nutty Bars - remind me of my dad he loved them the advert on tv wasa an astronaut - cool... bring them both back. Lisa 10th May 2010

    the drink with the "Its FROTHY MAN" ad was for CRESTA, Freasca was never sold in the UK

    Used to love Nutty bars! BTW PAYDAY bars are the closest thing that I have found to Nutty bars.. but, the fudgey / caramel was coated in SALTED peanuts, if I remember correctly (haven't had a PAYDAY bar since the mid 1990's).. I used quickly run a PAYDAY bar under a cold tap for a few seconds to wash the salt off..lol
