This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

On the Buses was a comedy about bus drivers. One of the main characters in On the Buses was Blakey the bus inspector who was always trying to catch out Stan, another bus driver.

Blakey was still living at home with his mum and sister Olive and her husband. Olive was quite a large girl and wore amazingly thick glasses. Her husband's name was Arthur.

    I remember watching the 'on the buses' films on tv in the 1970's, but i'm proud to say that the actress who played stan and olive's mum, doris hare was born in my home town of 'Bargoed' In the south wales valleys.
