Punky Brewster (1984-1988), was about an eight-year-old, named Punky who is abandoned by her mother in a grocery store. She comes across an apartment building and one day is found playing in an empty room by Henry, the building superintendent. Henry takes Punky in as his foster daughter. Punky has a beloved dog named Brendon who goes whereever Punky goes.
