Who can forget the man who looked like Hank Marvin sneaking down the stairs singing "I'm a secret lemonade drinker" Then the chorus "R Whites, R Whites, R Whites lemonade" A Classic advert!

The wife in the original advert was Harriet Philpin, best known to "Doctor Who" fans as Bettan in "Genesis of the Daleks". A couple of years ago they tracked her and Julian Chagrin (the secret lemonade drinker) down, to make a new commercial for R Whites ice lollies! The spoof ones were very funny when I was a kid - I remember Jimmy Greaves and Ian St John in place of the wife!

R White came from my home town, Cannock in Staffordshire. That is my claim to fame. Elvis Costello was involved in the music, playing the drums and backing vocals in the ad. I saw it last wweek on the most famous adverts show- it was number seven. I loved the way he steps over the dog at the top of the sairs and shushes it when it starts to get up! Fabulous! Terry White (no relation). 02.12.2010

I seem to remember a man wearing striped pyjamas in a red telephone box singing the R Whites song because he was a secret lemonade drinker!

Does anyone know about an R Whites ad where he calls a helpline and starts speaking....before bursting into "im a secret lemonade drinker" Cant find it anywhere!

God that song stuck in my head, still sing it to myself whenever I see a bottle of it. He was wearing really naff pyjamas as well if I remember correctly. Classic.

Does anyone remember the R whites advert where an arab walks onto a stage with a camel and says "Hey weird, even the camel's weird, must be the sun, stay cool, im cool, you wanna know the secret, ssshhh the camel's got his own? Strange how some things never leave your head????? Hope someone out there recalls it too.....
