Remember paying £575 for one of these around 1980. First exposure to home computing. The machine had 48KB of RAM, 32KB of which was available for programmes. Had BASIC and Assembler which was loaded from the cassette into RAM before any programming could start. Keyed in a load of basic games from a book and played them and then enhanced them! Great fun if a bit labourious. The computer had an integral monochrome display. The display, keyboard and cassette drive lifted on hinges to expose the motherboard and circuitry underneath. Graphics capability was pretty basic, with only preset shapes and icons. The non-standard keyboard was difficult to use.
