Shinobi

I can remember a game coming out, produced by Sega, called Shinobi. It was a scrolling platform game, where you had to jump barrels, bullets and various hazards, and beat up various enemies with your ninja sword and projectiles. Starting with various enemies, the game then increased to fighting a level boss. The original Shinobi was then superceded by Shinobi II and then, surprise, Shinobi III followed.

The game has been ported to other systems, including the Sega Master System and Nintendo Entertainment System game consoles, also the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Amiga and Atari ST home computers
