Sta Prest Trousers

Sta Prest trousers were a mod fashion in the early 80s. They were quite slim fitting, made of polyester cotton and were treated so they didn't lose their crease. I remember wearing pale-grey Sta Prest trousers and I even had a burgundy pair. Thought I was well smart at the time! A Fred Perry shirt, and a pair of suede Hush Puppies completed the overall look.

in the 60's and early 70's I had sage green, navy blue, charcoal grey and beige, they were the best fitting smart but casual trousers (my mother called them slacks) and looked cool with a Ben Shermin shirt and a Levi denim jacket.

by 1969 the skinheads were wearing white levi sta press and they soon became common in allsorts of colours but inparticular two tone shiny sta press to link in with the trend for tonic suits and smarter gear. The late 70s early 80s Mods continued a lot of the skins fashions including Fred Perrys.
