I loved this film. The crew of an underwater oil rig are asked to help rescue an American submarine which has crashed. When they start the recovery mission they discover something living deep in the ocean. You would have either loved or hated the ending of this film.

    made more sense and I had a greater appreciation when I read the book. very memorable scenes from the film. I want to watch it again now !! the relationship between Bud and his ex wife was very well acted and the scene where he is swimming back to the craft with her body and the revival scene was so emotional.
