The Animator 2000 was part of the Etch A Sketch series of must-have toys for kids in the 80s. It debuted in 1988 as a portable drawing interface complete with stylus. Unlike the etch A Sketch, the Animator had the ability for you to animate a series of drawing frames, plus save your work to a memory cartridge.
The same kind of cartridge was also used to play games off of onto the Animator. Unfortunately, only three games were developed for it: racing game Overdrive, Putt Nutts a golf game and flight simulator game FlyBy.
