Does anyone remember "The Hanged Man", on Saturday nights in 1975, with Colin Blakely and Michael Williams? Blakely played a construction tycoon, who had been the target of a couple of attempts on his life. After the latest attempt, he decides to play dead, and sets out on a mission to find out who wants him killed. He is aided in his quest by Michael Williams, supposedly a hard case ex-special forces man, although I think his wife Judi Dench would have looked tougher than HE did. The actual trigger-man John Quentin, played by Gary Watson, must have been the worst hit-man in the world because all his shots seemed to miss, apart from when he shot an unarmed woman in the comfort of her living room. It did have a terrific music score though, composed by Alan Tew and played by an outfit called "Bullet". That was the first lp I ever bought that wasn't a pop record, and I still play it today. I've never heard of it being repeated, on any channel, although they did use the theme music on "The Two Ronnies", for Charley Farley and Piggy Malone.
