Does anyone recall a children's TV serial from about 1962-63 called The Long Way Home? A wartime escape story with Patrick Cargill as a Gestapo officer. I avidly watched all episodes during one summer but missed the final one (we went away on holiday for 2 weeks) and never found out if hero Gil got away. Luckily the series was repeated the following year - and I similarly missed the finale, for the same reason. Does anyone remember the serial? And the final denouement?
