This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Does anyone remember the Sweater Shops in the late 80s / early 90s that were all over the country and used to sell various t-shirts and jumpers with the Sweater Shop written on them? Why did we all wear these?!

    I remember being sent to do some extension work on both his shop and in his home on his security systems when he was living in kirby Muxlow in Leicestershire..nice guy..cool sweaters too

    I do! I live in the states and in the mid 1990s was in England. Purchased a sweater with the name and "cambridge, windsor....." on it. That thing wears like steel! One sleeve edge is getting a tad tattered. I was googling hoping to get a replacement. I guess I will just have to darn it myself. THAT sweater is still looking great - apart from the tatter

    I have a photo of me when I was 7 and I am wearing a jumper with the Sweater Shop on it best memory of the sweater shop because my mum bought me the jumper and paid a professional photographer to take a picture of me wearing my jumper which is white and black hoops on it and The Sweater shop on it

    I have two sweater shop jumpers, only wear them indoors now but they are as good as new even though they must have been washed hundreds of times. Anyone else still got one???

    Sweater shop was the best shop and the first shop I made a beeline for in the Manchester arndale. The sweatshirts and sweaters were just brill and never wore out hence still got some from 1992. Bring em back !!! Geraldine from Lancs.

    Hello - OLD !!, fans of Sweater Shop jumpers, I have just finished darning a slightly moth eaten jumper I bought my husband 20+ years ago - he still wears it, and it still fits!! Unfortunately, it seems the new firm '019 Sweater Shop' has gone into administration @ 1 May 2013 - Oh dear what a great shame.
