Tight Fit were a British vocal group consisting of two very glamorous girls (Julie Grant and Denise Gyngell) and a hunky man (Steve Grant) Their first single was "Back to the Sixties" which got to No. 4 in 1981, followed by the No. 1 "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Fantasy Island" (No.5) and "Secret Heart" (No. 41) in 1982.

Tight Fit were known for their skimpy clothes, big hair and the fact that Denise - bless her - went on to marry Pete Waterman. The first single I ever bought was "Fantasy Island" by Tight Fit, and because of that they will always have a (small) place in my heart.

    Something possessed me to buy the twelve inch of Fantasy Island.....mind you I was only about 16 at the time and didn't know any better...LOL

    The band to sing the lion sleeps to night, with that *catchy* chorus awhooooooo, awhooooooeeeeummmbombaway!!! thats there only hit as I recall I think the song came out in 1983!
