Torchy, The Battery Boy was a series that originally aired in the late 50s. It followed the adventures of a boy doll with a battery inside him and a lamp in his head. Every episode started with a rocket outside a cottage with Torchy sat in it. Torchy was owned by toy collector Mr Bumbledrop. Torchy, The Battery Boy had lots of friends including Flopsy The Rag Doll and Pilliwig The Clown.
