This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Uriah Heep was one of the greatest rock/metal bands of the 80's and maybe early 90's for me. The rhythmic music these guys made was only surpassed by the amazing lyrics they wrote.

Catchy melodies and superb solos led by an amazing vocal element make this a fantastic band.

    I agree- they go back a lot further than the '80s though, starting out around '71. I have one of their very early vinyl albums 'Wizards and Demons', that has some terrific stuff on it. They started out only a couple of years later than Deep Purple, and were from the same stable of 'mystic rock', although sadly they never attained the huge fame that their counterparts did. In addition to beng a great band they're also very nice guys- modest, unassuming, and very appreciative of their fan's comitment.
