This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Whitesnake was another one of the late 80's "Big Hair" bands. They had some popular songs like "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love".

Lead singer David Coverdale's fiancee Tawny Kitaen was in both of the band's videos.

    David Coverdale went to Huntcliff School, Saltburn, same as me. Not at the same time mind, he left about 15 years beforehand. I know a few people who saw him play in local bans before joining Deep Purple in the early 70's.

    I was a bit young to remember much about them but "Is This Love" is my favourite song of all time. It has a woman in a skin tight white mini dress in the video dancing along to the song and then I think she argues with the lead singer and leaves and walks down the street and she's got big 80s hair.

    Remember falling out with my Mum cos she wouldn't let me go to see them and share a tent with 5 guys at Donnington (1987 I think)...they were mates! Having a daughter now I can see where she was coming from!
