Widget the World Watcher was a cute cartoon, designed to teach conservation, and good morals.
Widget was a purple space alien, able to shift to various forms at will, for the purpose of saving and/or improving the world. He had a friend who was a floating brain in a glass shield, and a human girl who aided him on his escapades. I distinctly recall him turning into a large purple elephant as one of his forms!
